Just a short stroll from the Cottage, will lead you to our exceptional lake frontage which offers an extensive private jetty for the exclusive use of guests of Lakeside and Waterhead Cottages. Our private jetty is ideal for enjoying lake activities such as swimming, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, fishing and of course launching your own boat, or simply relaxing in this exclusive environment.
In addition, the lake frontage provides our guests with a unique lakeside lounge and dining area, enabling you to relax, enjoy and take in the stunning Lake Windermere views. A gas and charcoal BBQ is provided for our guests to eat ‘Al fresco’ and complete their day in style.
The cottage is conveniently located off the main road between Ambleside and Windermere, set back behind a stone wall and established hedging, which affords the property privacy and a rural feel. There are excellent transport links for exploring the Lake District and beyond. The bus stop is only a few hundred yards away and the lake ferries can be boarded from the neighbouring Lake District Visitors Centre, hence a car is not essential.

The entrance opens in to a spacious and welcoming open plan lounge/dining room (with flat screen HD TV, DVD player, and hi-fi with CD player) and fitted kitchen, which is flooded with light from the full length feature window to the front of the property and French doors to the side, which open onto the furnished patio area.
Stairs lead to the large double bedroom, which has sloping rooflines, velux windows and fitted wardrobes – king-size bed and additional LED flat screen TV, and views to Lake Windermere and beyond. Modern en-suite bathroom with bath with shower over, wc and basin.
The cottage is tastefully decorated throughout, with gas central heating and hot water. Free Wi-Fi broadband. A welcome pack is also provided on arrival.
Outside: Set in five acres of grounds, including the separate detached owners residence and private gardens. You can stroll down to the water’s edge for food & drink (with gas & charcoal BBQ and picnic table) or partake in watersports from the private jetty and slipway. There is also a private patio area adjacent to the property with chimnea, garden furniture and gas BBQ. There is secure inside storage for bikes or small boats. There are a number of options for eating out within walking distance of the cottage with many more in nearby Ambleside and Windermere.
